Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of the Vyn app. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. By using Vyn you agree to both.
What Vyn is, and isn't
Vyn estimates. The Vyn Score, Vyn Age, maintenance schedules, cost forecasts, car values, performance figures, Quote Check verdicts and Ask Vyn answers are worked out from what you enter, typical manufacturer schedules and typical prices. They can be wrong.
Vyn isn't a mechanic and doesn't inspect your car. Before you book, skip or delay any work, check with a qualified mechanic. Brakes, tires, steering, suspension and airbags are safety items: Vyn always marks them "ask your mechanic" and never tells you they can be skipped.
You're responsible for your car, its maintenance and how you drive it. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on Vyn's estimates.
Vyn Pro
- Vyn Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, yearly or monthly, sold through the App Store. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- New subscribers get a 3-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, the subscription starts and your Apple Account is charged.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel any time in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Without Pro, Vyn keeps reminders for one car.
Limits
The features answered by AI cost money each time, so they come with a monthly allowance:
- Ask Vyn: 3 questions to try it, then 20 a month with Vyn Pro.
- Quote Check: 10 quotes a month with Vyn Pro.
- Scanning receipts, VINs and odometers, reminders, recalls and known issues have no limit.
Allowances start again on the first day of each month, and unused ones don't carry over. We may change them; the app always shows what's left.
Using Vyn fairly
Don't misuse Ask Vyn or Quote Check: no attempts to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and no content that's illegal or meant to harm others. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.
Your content
Your cars, services, photos and notes are yours. You let Vyn use them only to run the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The new version will be in the app and on our website, with a new date at the top. If you keep using Vyn after that, the new terms apply.
Your rights
Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
